Wesley College is located on a forty-acre campus, half of a
mile east of U.S. Highway 49 South and twelve miles south of
Jackson, Mississippi in Florence, Mississippi.
The
city of Florence has a population of 2,500, offering a
relaxed atmosphere with the advantages of a growing small
town. A number of small industries are located in or near
Florence. Florence is located in Rankin County, home to
the
33,000-acre Ross Barnett Reservoir.
The Jackson metropolitan area has a population of over
450,000 people. Known as the "Crossroads of the South",
Jackson (pictured during the downtown St. Patrick’s Day
Parade) is the political, cultural, industrial, education,
and
business capital of Mississippi. In addition to the
advantages
that one might find in a larger city, the proximity
of the
campus to Jackson provides ample opportunity for
employment.
