Due to the $3 million dollar debt owed by Wesley College, Wesley College Properties will be liquidated to eliminate the indebtedness.  As a result of that, Wesley College will close her doors. A restructuring committee will study the feasibility of continuing the education of young men and women in ministry. 

Dear Students and Alumni:

The decision of the Board of Trustees to close Wesley College and liquidate the properties makes our hearts sad.  The Wesley Spirit that is a part of all our lives will never die.  It will live on through you and the people that you touch. 

Offices for Wesley College will remain open (new location) through May 30, 2011.  Any student that is within 30 hours of graduation will be a part of a teach-out plan that will allow the student to take the courses at another institution and transfer them back to Wesley and receive a diploma from Wesley.  All work must be completed and transferred to Wesley by May 30, 2011.  The school address will remain P.O. Box 1070, Florence, MS 39073 and the phone number 601-845-2265. 

Students transferring to other institutions are encouraged to talk with the admissions officers at various schools who have offered their assistance to Wesley students during this time of transition.  Please check out the following colleges.

Contact the registrar’s office for transcripts.  Please have a complete address for the school to which you are transferring.  With prior approval, transcripts may be picked up on campus between 9AM and 12PM.  Students from Westminster/Wesley who wish to have an unofficial transcript may send a signed request (transcript form attached) and a self addressed stamped envelope to the registrar’s office by July 30, 2010.  Do not hesitate to call with questions.
